Thailand Facility

In response to customer demand, Lamprell has expanded into Thailand through the development of a facility at Sattahip that focuses on refurbishing jackup rigs. Lamprell has entered into an initial five year co-operation agreement for approximately 47,000m² of land incorporating 158 metres of exclusive deep water quay side on which the Sattahip Facility is developed. Along with the new facility at Hamriyah in the UAE, Lamprell will more than double its operational capacity.

Lamprell believes this expansion provides an excellent opportunity to transfer the skills and reputation that the Company has built over many years, through its operations in the UAE, to a region which offers a significant fleet of jackup drilling rigs owned by predominantly the same group of clients that operate in the Middle East. The site has been fully operational since the beginning of 2009.
