The Hamriyah facility is purpose-built for new build construction and refurbishment for offshore drilling rigs, land drilling rigs, wind farm installation vessels and oil & gas structures. This facility has 335,000m2 of construction area, an additional 30,000m2 of dedicated storage area and has been operational since early 2010. The Hamriyah facility has direct access to over 1400m of quayside of which 1250m has a water depth of 9 m LAT. The quayside is designed to facilitate the load out of structures onto barges or heavy lift vessels. With a 19,000m2 covered fabrication shop equipped with overhead cranes and 30,000m2 of fabrication pads similarly equipped with gantry cranes, the facility is ideally suited for the construction of any structure. In addition, the Hamriyah facility has an API certified mechanical workshop, dedicated to the overhaul and repair of drilling equipment. In early 2016 Lamprell leased an additional 114,000m2 of new land in phase 2 of the Hamriyah Free Zone in order to construct new fully automated fabrication areas including pipe fabrication shops and blasting and painting sheds. This allows us to offer our clients a one stop location for their rigs and their drilling equipment.
