Overall purpose of role

Ensure full compliance with HSE policies and procedures, while executing all project-related activities in line with company standards and guidelines. Provide pre- and post-contract support to the Quantity Surveyor (QS) and/or Construction Manager (CM), and perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the CM.

Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities

  • Ensure all administrative functions are carried out in accordance with company policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor (QS) and/or Construction Manager (CM) in the commercial management of major projects and the preparation of bid proposals for minor works.
  • Authorized to review tender documents and pricing breakdowns, allocate cost codes to planned resources, set up projects in the Contract Center, and prepare start-up memoranda in line with start-up procedures to establish project budgets.
  • Perform Quantity Surveyor functions on assigned minor projects, including the preparation of change orders and negotiations with clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly statements and final accounts for agreement with the client’s designated representative.
  • Coordinate with the accounts department to prepare client invoices for QS review prior to submission.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material purchases and deliveries to support monthly turnover reporting.
  • Assist in compiling weekly and monthly project performance statements by ensuring timely and complete records of labor, material deliveries, consumables, and equipment.
  • Enter percentage completion data into the Compass Software and measure completed work scopes to track and report project production norms on a monthly basis.
  • Support the preparation of cash flow projections and contribute to quantity measurements and development of production constants for each project.
  • Assist in compiling project completion reports and review production constants to inform future estimates.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Commercial department personnel, project teams, and client representatives.

Attainment

  • Degree or Diploma (minimum 3 years) in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial-related work environment, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (preferred).
  • Familiarity with API Q1, API 4F, and API 16C standards is preferred, especially for roles involving LRS (Licensed Rig Structures).
  • Proficient computer skills, including spreadsheet preparation and working knowledge of Oracle-based software systems.
