Overall purpose of role

Responsible for the project management of supplier procurement packages, the Supplier Package Manager reports to the Project Procurement Manager and is assigned to specific projects. This role ensures the delivery of procurement packages on time and within budget, in full compliance with applicable technical, quality, and HSES specifications. The Supplier Package Manager serves as the primary interface between suppliers, Lamprell’s project management team and disciplines, and the company’s clients for all assigned procurement packages.

Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities

  • Manages the on-time and within-budget delivery of supplier procurement packages in full compliance with applicable project technical, quality, and HSES requirements.
  • Oversees supply chain activities, including purchase order budgets and commercial matters with suppliers, in coordination with the Project Procurement Manager.
  • Controls supplier delivery schedules, including managing design dependencies and sub-suppliers.
  • Leads key supplier meetings such as kick-off meetings, pre-inspection meetings, and progress reviews.
  • Ensures all supplier materials are delivered in accordance with Lamprell’s quality and HSES standards.
  • Reviews and contributes to the preparation of material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
  • Proactively resolves technical and quality issues in collaboration with suppliers and relevant Lamprell stakeholders.
  • Ensures timely submission, review, and approval of supplier deliverables.
  • Enforces strict adherence to HSES policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with Lamprell’s information security policies and procedures.

Attainment

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the offshore construction industry within supply chain management, project management, engineering, or commercial disciplines, or relevant experience with an equipment manufacturer.
  • For complex or critical scopes, over 10 years of experience is required, including offshore technical, project, or delivery management expertise relevant to the scope.
  • A technical degree is preferred but not mandatory.
