Overall purpose of role

Ensure all planning-related activities are executed in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities

  • Prepare and manage project schedules from proposal stage through execution.
  • Allocate resources to ensure accurate and effective tracking of schedule progress.
  • Incorporate third-party activities into project schedules and manage their performance.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings and materials to support schedule execution.
  • Develop manpower forecasts aligned with schedule requirements.
  • Generate detailed schedule look-ahead reports to anticipate upcoming activities.
  • Conduct schedule impact assessments for proposed changes or scope growth.
  • Develop and report detailed schedule performance metrics.
  • Establish and maintain effective tracking and audit data to monitor schedule progress.
  • Represent the Planning Department in integrated work team meetings.

Attainment

  • Minimum of 5 years’ planning experience in oil and gas-related projects
  • Diploma-level qualification as a minimum; an engineering degree is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Basic understanding of MRP and ERP systems
  • Strong logical and analytical skills, with good knowledge of products and related disciplines ·  Proficient in planning software such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project (MSP)
