Overall purpose of role
Ensure all planning-related activities are executed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities
- Prepare and manage project schedules from proposal stage through execution.
- Allocate resources to ensure accurate and effective tracking of schedule progress.
- Incorporate third-party activities into project schedules and manage their performance.
- Liaise with Engineering and Procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings and materials to support schedule execution.
- Develop manpower forecasts aligned with schedule requirements.
- Generate detailed schedule look-ahead reports to anticipate upcoming activities.
- Conduct schedule impact assessments for proposed changes or scope growth.
- Develop and report detailed schedule performance metrics.
- Establish and maintain effective tracking and audit data to monitor schedule progress.
- Represent the Planning Department in integrated work team meetings.
Attainment
- Minimum of 5 years’ planning experience in oil and gas-related projects
- Diploma-level qualification as a minimum; an engineering degree is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Basic understanding of MRP and ERP systems
- Strong logical and analytical skills, with good knowledge of products and related disciplines · Proficient in planning software such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project (MSP)
