Overall purpose of role
Producing design deliverables in accordance with contract requirements, approved budget and schedule, and in compliance with Lamprell policies, procedures, and the Lamprell Group Management System (LGMS).
Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities
- Develop and issue pipeline design drawings, including all drafting work for pipelines and subsea systems, for assigned projects and bids. Assign drafting tasks to designers and junior designers as needed.
- Supervise senior designers and draftsmen in their work, planning and scheduling team activities in coordination with the Lead Engineer. Follow established guidelines and checklists during drawing preparation and maintain check print drawings for reference.
- Review and verify the accuracy and quality of all drawings before submitting them to the engineers. Ensure drafting work is completed within the project schedule and allocated man-hours. Maintain organized soft copies of all pipeline drawings for each revision.
- Provide input to the Lead Engineer in estimating required man-hours and manpower for drafting activities. Support drafting tasks for other disciplines as needed during the project phase.
- Perform all work efficiently and accurately in line with departmental KPIs and safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with HSES policies and procedures as well as all applicable information security policies and procedures.
Attainment
- Minimum experience: Over 12 years in offshore oil and gas facilities with major EPC contractors and fabrication companies.
- Proficient in preparing a wide range of pipeline drawings, including offshore alignment sheets, crossing drawings, anode details, riser above-ground (AG) drawings, and spool general arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Skilled in using software such as ARC GIS, UTM coordinate systems, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
- Extensive experience in developing all types of pipeline drawings, including crossings, risers, alignment sheets, and tie-ins.
