Overall purpose of role
Work as a senior engineer on one or multiple projects, producing design deliverables that meet contract requirements, stay within the approved budget and schedule, and follow Lamprell policies and procedures.
Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities
- Act as deputy for the Lead Engineer in their absence.
- Manage multiple projects and produce design deliverables according to approved budgets and schedules.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with contractual requirements.
- Prepare material requisitions, data sheets, and technical bid evaluations.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and departments.
- Liaise with clients to ensure alignment and project progress.
- Promote adherence to quality system procedures, encouraging a First-Time-Right (FTR) approach.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Take overall responsibility for project execution and control.

- Responsibilities:
- Execute engineering activities including Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Studies, and Detailed Design.
- Prepare design deliverables in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare specifications, conduct technical evaluations, review vendor documentation, and expedite vendor activities.
- Interface with other departments to incorporate up-to-date inputs.
- Maintain high technical quality standards in all work.
- Identify and manage scope and schedule changes following the Change Control Process.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Attend and review factory inspection reports.
Attainment
- Education: BSc or BE degree in a relevant engineering discipline; MSc or MTech degree is an advantage.
- Experience: Over 7 years in offshore oil and gas facilities, drilling rigs, and pipelines with major EPC contractors and/or consultants.
- Skilled in preparing specifications, conducting technical evaluations, reviewing vendor documentation, designing, and assisting in the construction and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledgeable in international codes and standards.
