Overall purpose of role

Responsible for the project management of supplier procurement packages, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery in compliance with applicable technical, quality, and HSES specifications. Reporting to the Project Procurement Manager and assigned to specific projects, the Supplier Package Manager serves as the primary interface between suppliers, Lamprell PMT members and disciplines, and Lamprell’s customers for the assigned procurement packages.

Primary responsibilities, authorities & accountabilities

  • Manages the on-time and within-budget delivery of Supplier Procurement Packages in compliance with applicable project technical, quality, and HSES requirements.
  • Supply Chain Management:
    • Oversees the purchase order budget and addresses commercial issues with the supplier, in coordination with the Project Procurement Manager.
    • Manages the supplier delivery schedule, including design dependencies and sub-suppliers.
    • Leads key supplier meetings, such as Kick-Off Meetings, Pre-Inspection Meetings, and Progress Reviews.
    • Ensures supplier materials are delivered in accordance with Lamprell’s quality and HSES standards.
  • Technical:
    • Reviews and contributes to the development of Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations.
    • Proactively resolves technical and quality issues between suppliers and Lamprell stakeholders.
    • Ensures timely progress and approval of supplier deliverables.
  • Ensures compliance with HSES policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures.

  • Engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, and site work processes related to supplier packages within their scope.
  • Current market conditions relevant to their area of responsibility.
  • Commercial principles and awareness.
  • Change management processes.
  • Purchase order structure and the contractual terms governing supplier management.
  • The overall project supply chain process.
  • Project execution experience in relevant areas of operation.
  • Project management methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) practices related to the manufacturing process of their assigned supplier packages.
  • End-client specifications and procedural requirements.
