Foundations for a responsible future

Lamprell’s Sustainability Report 2025, titled Foundations for a responsible future, captures a defining year for the business and reflects a period of significant growth and progress across environmental, social and governance performance.

“As our business evolves, we remain committed to investing in our facilities, people and partnerships to deliver every project safely, efficiently and with the lowest practical environmental footprint.”

Ian Prescott, Chief Executive Officer, Lamprell

The report comes during a period of renewed momentum for the business. With Jebel Ali reactivated, Hamriyah continuing to support major project delivery and work progressing through IMI, our partner yard in Saudi Arabia, Lamprell has been increasing capacity while maintaining its focus on safe, efficient and responsible operations.

The balance between business growth and operational discipline is central to the report. As activity increases, so does the importance of the systems that sit behind performance: how Lamprell manages energy and emissions, protects its people, strengthens governance, works with suppliers and supports the communities around its operations.

The 2025 report shows the progress being made and the foundations being strengthened for the years ahead.

Progress against key metrics

Safety remains Lamprell’s highest priority. In 2025, Lamprell recorded a 0.00 Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) across approximately 11.5 million man-hours worked, supported by leadership engagement, behavioural safety observations, contractor integration, emergency drills and continued HSES training.

The report also highlights strong climate and resource-efficiency performance. Scope 1 and 2 emissions were reduced by 57% against the 2021 baseline, while GHG emissions intensity and energy intensity both reduced by 27%. Lamprell also reduced diesel energy consumption by 67%, diverted 98% of waste from landfill, and recovered 4,559 tonnes of used garnet through its circular economy programme.

Systems, standards and recognition

The report also shows the increasing maturity of Lamprell’s sustainability systems. Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions for 2025 were independently verified by an external third party, while Lamprell’s improved CDP climate rating, from D to B, reflects stronger climate disclosure and environmental performance. The company also recorded a CDP supplier engagement score of A−, underlining progress in how ESG expectations are being extended across the value chain.

All major Lamprell facilities continued to operate under internationally recognised management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, supported by specialist welding, inspection and oil & gas quality certifications.

Recognition from Saudi Aramco, IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula, ENOC Group, ITQAN KSA and the GMA Global Sustainability Awards further reinforced the link between operational discipline, responsible business practices and sustained client confidence.

Wider value and future focus

Lamprell’s sustainability activity also creates value beyond its yards and projects. Environmental and community initiatives included mangrove planting in Saudi Arabia, the annual beach clean-up, the Sustaining Wings initiative at KFUPM, and programmes supporting skills development, local value creation and workforce wellbeing.

These efforts align with the UAE and KSA’s national priorities, domestic capability building and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, while supporting Lamprell’s role across energy security and the energy transition.

As the business grows, resilience will depend on disciplined execution, stronger data, responsible operations and continued investment in people, partnerships and communities.
