At Lamprell, sustainability is not just a corporate commitment, but a shared responsibility we bring to life through community collaboration. In partnership with Aramco, our recent initiatives in Saudi Arabia are helping protect local ecosystems and create environmental awareness among the next generation.
As part of our focus on biodiversity, we recently launched the Sustaining Wings initiative at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). Developed in collaboration with Aramco, the project supports local birdlife by installing solar-powered hydration units across the KFUPM campus, providing a safe and reliable water source during the region’s extreme heat. The launch event was attended by students, researchers, and faculty from the Applied Research Centre for Environment and Marine Studies.
In a separate outreach programme aligned with World Ozone Day, Lamprell hosted the Our Planet, Our Responsibility event at Al-Hedaia School in Dammam, with support from Aramco. The event engaged more than 50 students through interactive learning sessions, presentations, and a sustainability-themed quiz competition, where winners received saplings as a symbol of environmental care. With participation from school leaders and industry representatives, the event reinforced the importance of ozone protection and encouraged simple, everyday actions to reduce environmental impact.
Together, these initiatives reflect Lamprell’s growing presence in Saudi Arabia and our shared commitment with Aramco to creating long-term, meaningful impact.
