Develop Your Skills and Potential
at Lamprell

At Lamprell, to ensure an enduring and sustainable business, we believe it’s essential that we align our strategy, our core values and the culture of the business. By doing so, we create a motivated, skilled and productive workforce enabling us to achieve our strategic objectives. Employees are at the centre of our business, and their continued training and welfare are critical to our continued success. We are committed to developing, identifying and nurturing future leaders and talent, and enabling everyone within the business to perform to their true potential.
Our leadership development and excellence programme underpins our succession planning and talent pipeline. We are fully invested in the 70/20/10 model of development: 70% on the job training, 20% mentoring/buddy placement, 10% classroom based training. Today our Lamprell Assessment and Training Centre (LATC) has over 90 courses available covering a range of soft skills and technical subjects including English language, welding, fabrication, electrical and mechanical. Some of the courses have mandatory third party involvement which includes offshore survival, rigging and crane operations. The LATC is responsible for the design and integrity of trade and supervisory assessment methods and materials. All new hire tradesperson candidates are assessed there, and yard promotions are only approved once candidates have satisfied rigorous assessment standards.

I joined Lamprell’s oilfield engineering division as an Administration Coordinator in 2006. In the early days, I worked within multiple divisions, including taking on the responsibilities of PRO and Customs Representative. Over the years, I progressed to become the Assistant Manager for camp administration, looking after our yard workforce in the company provided accommodation. I have been very fortunate to work with Lamprell senior management who have not only provided me with ample opportunities to grow but also encouraged me to take on new roles and responsibilities. They have offered all the necessary support and guidance for my career development; I am proud to be a part of this organisation and look forward to growing within Lamprell for years to come.
