Lamprell recently launched ‘Lamprell Cares’, an enhancement to our existing behaviour-based safety (BBS) programme. This initiative marks a significant update to our HSES framework, integrating numerous industry-benchmarking elements aimed at promoting safer workplace behaviours.
Lamprell holds a world-class safety record, and we are fully committed to improving our TRIR year on year, which at the end of 2023 stood at 0.08.
Group HSES Manager David Enders commented: “The Lamprell Cares programme is designed to engage all employees in adopting a more advanced safety culture. It focuses on coaching and training personnel to recognize and rectify unsafe behaviours, thereby promoting a risk-averse environment. This approach not only enhances individual awareness but also contributes to our collective safety goals.”

Key aspects of ‘Lamprell Cares’ include:
• Tailored behaviour-based safety training for various roles within the company, ranging from yard workers to administrative and management teams.
• Comprehensive safety surveys to gauge the effectiveness of our practices and to identify areas for improvement.
• Regular observations of behaviour across all business units and projects, ensuring ongoing safety compliance and enhancement.
• Data trend analysis to help refine our strategy and intervention methods.
David continues, “Lamprell Cares is a testament to our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of every member of our team. Through dedicated participation and adherence to this programme, we aim to sustain and build upon our industry-leading safety results, making sure that every day at Lamprell is a safe one.”
