Welcome to Lamprell

Lamprelltimes 2026 Q2 edition, published July 2026
Message from the CEO

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the latest edition of Lamprelltimes.

As we reach the halfway point of 2026, I am pleased to reflect on another productive quarter for Lamprell. While the regional geopolitical situation was a concerning development, I am proud of the way our people have responded. Through careful planning, close collaboration with our clients and partners, and the professionalism of our teams, we have maintained business continuity and are delivering safely across all of our operations. Our priority remains to keep projects moving forward while maintaining the high standards our clients expect.

The quarter has seen continued momentum across the business, with both our Hamriyah and Jebel Ali yards operating at a high level of activity. Three of our offshore EPCI projects are now approaching completion, while our four new projects are progressing well. Our rig refurbishment business also remains busy, with safety milestones being celebrated and strong progress across multiple projects. In offshore wind, fabrication continues to advance on the RWE Vanguard West project, while preparations for Vanguard East are progressing well. Together, these projects demonstrate the breadth of Lamprell’s capabilities across both traditional and renewable energy markets.

Throughout this edition, you will find updates from across the business, including an operational overview of activity across our yards and projects, together with an interview with our Production and Construction Manager, Gary Jones, who shares his perspective on the pace of activity across Hamriyah and Jebel Ali and reflects on his own 15-year journey with Lamprell. You can also read our latest feature exploring why cybersecurity and digital resilience are becoming increasingly important across the energy industry.

With our focus on building long-term capability, we continue to invest in the continued growth of our Chennai office, which has rapidly become an important hub supporting projects across our global operations. The Saudi Arabia team have recently moved into larger offices in Al Khobar, as the business continues to build local talent and capability, and we are pleased to announce the establishment of our new office in Basra, Iraq, together with the appointment of Khalil Saleh as Branch Manager. This marks another important step in strengthening Lamprell’s regional presence and supports our long-term commitment to developing local capability and serving clients in Iraq.

Beyond our projects, we continue to invest in what has always been one of Lamprell’s greatest strengths: our people. This quarter’s culture feature highlights the many initiatives across the business to support employee wellbeing, health, safety, and community engagement. We also continue developing the next generation of talent through our Leadership Development Programme and graduate initiatives, ensuring Lamprell remains well positioned for the future.

This year is particularly significant as we celebrate Lamprell’s 50th anniversary. Earlier this quarter, we were delighted to publish our Lamprell50 commemorative book, celebrating the people, projects and milestones that have shaped our journey over the past five decades. It has been rewarding to reflect on how far the company has come, and we look forward to continuing those celebrations with colleagues, clients and partners at events in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, as well as our anniversary golf day later this year. To everyone who has contributed to Lamprell’s success over the past 50 years, thank you for being part of our story. For me personally, I am very proud and honoured to be the Lamprell CEO during this momentous period. I follow in the footsteps of some amazing leaders & I’m humbled to work for such a great company.

I recently had the opportunity to represent Lamprell on a panel at Upstream’s Global Development & Decarbonisation Week, where we discussed the Middle East’s evolving energy landscape. The conversation reinforced the importance of energy security, resilient supply chains, and disciplined project delivery in supporting the region’s long-term growth, themes that closely align with Lamprell’s strategy.

We also attended Global Offshore Wind 2026 in Manchester alongside our sister companies, AMC and Enshore Subsea, under the Algihaz Holding umbrella. Ahead of the exhibition, our teams came together for a joint strategy session to strengthen collaboration, explore opportunities and align our approach as one integrated team. The event itself provided an excellent opportunity to engage with clients, partners and industry peers, showcasing the complementary capabilities we bring across fabrication, construction, EPCI and subsea delivery.

As we look ahead to the second half of the year, our focus remains on safe delivery, operational excellence and building on the strong momentum we have established across the business.

As always, I would like to thank our employees, clients and partners for their continued trust and support. I hope you enjoy this latest edition of Lamprelltimes.
