Lamprell Strikers clinch victory at the Hamriyah cricket tournament

On Sunday, 28 January 2024, the Hamriyah Cricket Ground buzzed with excitement and competitive spirit, hosting the much-anticipated cricket tournament for Lamprell’s yard employees. Situated near the Hamriyah Phase 2 Camp, eight teams comprising 113 participants battled it out for cricket glory.

As it was a full-day event, breakfast and lunch were served, and refreshments were arranged for all participants throughout the day.

Amidst the cheers, it was the Lamprell Strikers who emerged as the undisputed champions, lifting the trophy high and marking their triumph.

In an event where individual talents were also recognized, the following employees stood out:

  • • Nikil Sudhakaran, a talented welder from the victorious Lamprell Strikers, was awarded as Best Batsman. His performance with the bat won him a trophy and a cash prize.
  • • The Best Bowler accolade was clinched by Eldhose John, a painter from the Lamprell Royals. He also took home a well-deserved trophy and cash prize.
  • • The main spotlight shone on Albert Panipiicha, a fabricator from the Lamprell Strikers, who was named the Man of the Series. His all-around performance on the field was unmatched, and he, too, earned a trophy and cash prize.

The tournament was more than a sporting event; it was a celebration of Lamprell’s workforce and their shared passion. It strengthened bonds among employees and highlighted Lamprell’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture.
