Lamprell bagged its fourth major offshore wind project in late 2022, this time with client Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited. A total of 62 transition pieces have and will continue to be delivered between now and early 2024. The first set of transition pieces sailed away in H2 2023 with the second departing in November and further deliveries expected into 2024. The projects safety record has been excellent and the team enjoyed a one million manhour celebration earlier in the year. Part of the contract agreement with Moray West was to produce the transition pieces through a serial production line, which was yet to be commissioned at the time of inking. So far, the project has been extremely successful with the client being highly complimentary of the work. In a recent press release, Lamprell CEO Ian Prescott thanked the client for their trust in Lamprell.
Lamprell launches renewables serial production line
Lamprell’s state-of-the-art renewables production line, which was commissioned in 2023, has the ability to construct transition pieces, monopiles, jackets and floating wind components for renewables projects. Thanks to the addition of the production line, this strategic investment in automated high-capacity can rolling, welding, milling, and non-destructive testing will significantly expand our foundation production capacity. By broadening our capabilities to include serial manufacturing of wind turbine generator substructures, Lamprell can now supply and deliver these assets for fixed and floating foundation projects…read more

Lamprell’s onshore EPC team safely replaced a pipeline following a condensate production trunkline leak identified by our long-standing client SNOC at their Sajaa Gas Plant earlier in 2023. SNOC Executive Director, Technical Assurance & Projects, Nabil Al Najjar, commented: “Well done to the Lamprell team for delivering this project safely and on time. SNOC highly appreciated this work, and we look forward to continuing to work together as one team.”
